Our Story:

dscout spun out of Gravitytank, a Chicago-based innovation firm, in 2011. We’ve been growing and evolving ever since. Originally a consultancy, we’re now a full-service Software as a Services (SaaS) platform that serves customers large and small. Headquartered in Chicago’s hot River North neighborhood, we are intensely focused on improving our product and building our premier customer base.

 

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a professional and engaging SDR to support our Account Executive team and act as the first point of contact for both inbound and outbound prospects. This person will be tasked with qualifying leads to build the sales funnel and ultimately drive revenue.

A great SDR will be able to manage multiple client conversations at once, conduct many discovery calls and demos every day, and set up our Account Executives for success. The SDRs provide them critical information to close new business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business through outbound prospecting (phone, email, social media and other channels)
  • Field leads from inbound marketing efforts
  • Prioritize leads, research prospects, and position relevant product features and services to prospects in order to fulfill their business needs
  • Profile accounts and overcome objections to generate quality opportunities for the account executive team
  • Collaborate with account executives and the Marketing Department to create a positive experience for prospects
  • Champion discovery calls to identify customer requirements and expectations in order to make tailored recommendations
  • Manage follow-up with calls-to-action to build a sales pipeline
  • Exceed activity and pipeline goals on a monthly basis.

 

Requirements:

  • 4 year bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years in a client-facing role
  • Software as a Service (SaaS) experience preferred
  • Experience working in Salesforce.com CRM
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and communication skills
  • Able to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment; adaptive to change
  • Track record of exceeding goals based on defined KPIs
  • A passion for building new business
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative work environment
  • Be willing to work in a startup environment and wear many hats.
