About dscout:

dscout is a mobile-centric, moments-obsessed research company. An amazing array of organizations rely on our tools and expertise to discover, understand, and track the essential moment-to-moment experiences that matter to their customers. Our clients are the world’s biggest consumer software, hardware, packaged goods, retail, media, financial services, consulting, and entertainment leaders.

In short, we help our clients understand why their customers feel the way they do--and how to make their goods and services even better.

dscout culture is fueled by smart, creative, design-centered people and abundant snacks. We bolster our team by balancing Friday happy hour and exceptional benefits. We’re a young, successful company that’s growing quickly and recruiting new team members to be a part of that success.

Our story:

dscout spun out of Gravitytank, a Chicago-based innovation firm, in 2011. We’ve been growing and evolving ever since. Originally a consultancy, we’re now a full-service Software as a Services (SaaS) platform that serves customers large and small. Headquartered in Chicago’s hot River North neighborhood, we are intensely focused on improving our product and building our premier customer base.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a scout operations coordinator to join our growing team. The heart of any research project is its participants, who we call “scouts.” This role supports the critical functions of finding the best scouts for a project and managing their engagement. You’ll be an invaluable resource to our internal consulting and client service teams, and a key liaison for external partners for recruiting, translations, and international scout management.

This is a new role at dscout, giving you the opportunity to shape its responsibilities, and to pioneer and define critical processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise internal teams on best practices for recruiting scouts, either through the dscout panel or external partners.
  • Initiate and oversee project requests with external partners for recruiting, translations or international scout management.
  • Help to manage relationships, and interact with, recruiting and translation partners around the world.
  • Monitor the scout panel for quality, demographics and activity level.
  • Process scout payments and assist with project billing.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years experience in research, customer support, or account management
  • Genuinely interested in market research and technology, and curious about how things work
  • Passionate about understanding people and cultures, and working across country borders
  • Highly organized and process-oriented with great attention to detail
  • Hard-working and willing to go the extra mile for your teammates, our clients and our scouts
  • Naturally able to strike a balance between friendly and professional in written and verbal communications
  • Multi-lingual in English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Mandarin and/or Korean a strong plus

What dscout will provide you:

  • Competitive, equitable salary
  • Amazing medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Smart, motivated and supportive team members in a fun environment
  • Snacks from our stocked kitchen and beverage bar
  • Weekly in-office happy hour
  • Generous healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement benefits
  • Ample PTO and office holidays
