About dscout

dscout is built to help customer-obsessed companies do one thing: meet and learn from real people in everyday moments that matter. dscout's SaaS platform consists of web-based research tools—enabling companies to quickly and efficiently run remote ethnographic studies with 5 to 500 "scouts" (research participants)— and mobile apps that scouts use to capture their everyday moments via video, photos and text.

About the tech

We’re looking for smart, creative, driven people to build great software with us.

Built in Ruby/Rails + PostgreSQL, our API driven platform is represented in the front-end with our React app where researchers build, conduct and analyze research. Our web app is matched with a set of mobile apps on iOS and Android where scouts can participate in research missions and apply to be part of upcoming opportunities. We've recently introduced a GraphQL API written in Elixir and are getting close to the release of dscout Live, our live video research tool using Twilio / WebRTC / Websockets.

If building products with these technologies is exciting to you, send us a note.

Our React app is no new venture, we're three years into it and have built a great team around code quality, patterns + components libraries. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and interact with a variety of tools while learning advanced practices.
