About dscout

dscout is built to help customer-obsessed companies do one thing: meet and learn from real people in everyday moments that matter. dscout's SaaS platform consists of web-based research tools—enabling companies to quickly and efficiently run remote ethnographic studies with 5 to 500 "scouts" (research participants)— and mobile apps that scouts use to capture their everyday moments via video, photos and text.

About this role

Casting a wide net with the job title, we'd like to find someone proficient in at least one of the two fields, Security and/or Automation, with experience in supporting and informing engineering teams in the delivery of products. • Automate manual testing processes (and jump in to manually test)

You are creative, technically advanced and able to think outside of the box. You will automate processes with tools and custom scripts across our stack - Ruby, Elixir, Javascript, Java (Android), Objective-C + Swift (iOS). Experience with our tooling / process a plus -

  • Hosting / deployments with Heroku and AWS
  • TDD and CI
  • GitHub, PRs, rebasing, merging
  • Agile, sprints, planning + estimation sessions, user stories, retros, product releases
